Bumbo

This seat is the coolest!! I am so glad Brady is finally old enough to sit in it because it is hilarious! He loves it! Week number two of work was great and although both Brady and I came down with a stomach bug, we are all recovered.

Brady is changing so much, I am trying to make sure I remember all his milestones. He is really able to hold his head up great now and can face outward in the Baby Bjorn which might be the cutest thing ever. He is grasping toys and batting at them like crazy. When he is laying on his back and gets excited, his arms and legs just go nuts. Brady really wants to roll over and is so close. I have heard he has mastered it, but I haven't witnessed it yet. He loves the mirrors in the house. He coos and smiles so big at the "mystery baby in the mirror".

A family affair...

Bath time is fun for everyone. Colby and I enjoy giving Brady his bath every night and he loves it too. Even Griffin likes to get involved and is always right there watching. I know I have posted the bath pictures before, but you can really see how big he is getting in these.

Wiped out!

What a week. My first week back at work wasn't so bad. It was good to see my work friends and participate in adult conversation. Dropping Brady off for the first time wasn't fun, but it wasn't too traumatizing either. Brady seems to be taking to day care and even though the teachers have said he has a good set of lungs on him, he has had really good days. I called to check on him every day this week and the ladies are so nice and give me a full report. I have also made a few surprise visits and he seems just as happy as can be. I miss him so much though and by about 2:00 I am so anxious to see that cute little face. He is completely wiped out when he gets home and has been sleeping pretty well. We are getting into a good little schedule and he is doing great.

Fantasy Football

Brady is helping Daddy with his fantasy football stats. He seems to be good luck for our college teams, but not sure yet on Colby's fantasy football. Here he is with Dad checking the stats. We had a great weekend with Brady, he is really turning a corner. He slept for 8 hours both nights this weekend and we were in heaven! We were able to take him to a birthday party AND breakfast on Sunday with NO crying. We couldn't believe it and are so excited!

Brady has his first day of school tomorrow. We went on Friday to meet his teachers. They were really sweet and spent some time with him, as well as answering ALL our questions. I think he is really going to like playing with all the babies and his new teachers.

Belly

OK, second blog for the day, but I figure I might as well update it as much as possible now because when I go back to work on Monday, I will not have as much time. Brady is getting so big and really starting to get his little pot belly. These pictures don't do it justice, but we just went up a size in diapers. I just love that belly!

Mommy tortures me...

Until I go back to work on Monday, most of our days go like this. Wake up, eat, play, grouchy time, sleep, wake up, eat, play, grouchy time, sleep and repeat. It is funny what little schedules they get on even at this age. He is very predictable and is usually in the best mood in the mornings. He smiles as soon as I get him out of his crib and the entire time he is on the changing table. So cute. It really puts you in the best mood to start your day. It is better than any cup of coffee.

There is only so much we can do to keep our day eventful, so most days are broken up with a "photo shoot". This is what we did yesterday. I am not so sure Brady likes them as much as I do.

Big Boy!

I feel like he looks like a two year old in these pictures, but he is still a little guy...sort of. I look back at his new born pictures and cannot believe how much he has grown. He is pretty much out of his 3 month sizes, although I can still squeeze him into some. Some will fit in his torso, but aren't even close in the legs. He has several PJ's that are supposed to go down to his ankles and come to about his knees.

Mommy and Me

I don't have very many pictures with Brady, mainly because I am always the photographer. Colby took his one last night while we watched football. This was during the 10 minutes Brady slept all afternoon. Doesn't he look sweet? He has been sleeping so well at night, I don't think he wants to nap anymore. Definitely keeps us busy during the day, but I will take it, as long as he is sleeping during the night.

Brady's new trick.

Brady is starting to push up on his forearms and lift his head. It is hard work and he only lasts about 5 minutes before he protests. He doesn't love his "Tummy Time", but the doctor said it is very important for strengthening his neck. He is getting better at it though and every once and a while will even smile. It is amazing day to day what new tricks he learns. Every day is something new and more exciting!

Thumb Sucker

He found his hands about two weeks ago, now he has found his thumb. His Uncle Brandon (my brother) was a thumb sucker, so I guess that is his contribution. Brady still takes his pacifier, but I think he is already favoring his thumb. He is so cute when he finally gets his thumb in there and goes to town. He isn't quite coordinated enough yet, so it takes him a minute. I caught these pictures this morning...good form.

Football Season Begins

This weekend was good for the Smith household, with OU and Tech both winning their games. Although not exactly playing the toughest opponents, both teams looked pretty good. Brady had his game day outfits on both days and seems to be good luck. I think Daddy was the most proud of this outfit.
