Overly Dramatic.

Colby has pointed out to me recently that I do not make any moves anymore without some sort of grunt, groan or sigh. I didn't notice, but now that I am paying attention, he is right. Getting off the couch, grunt...getting out of bed...groan, etc. I don't even notice I am doing it and I don't think I am being overly dramatic, just have a lot more I am carrying around these days. It is pretty funny though. I can't imagine how my 9th month will be!

My feet and hands have just started to swell a little bit. I noticed this morning that it was a little harder to get my wedding ring on and it is definitely harder to get off. I may have to break down and go buy a cheap imitation to fit my fat finger, sooner than later.

31 weeks!

Just an updated picture. I have grown quite a bit in just the last few weeks. I can't believe I will be 8 months next week!! Grow Brady, grow!

Baby Shower

Paula's (Colby's Mom) best friend and sister in law threw a wonderful shower this weekend. Brady received so many adorable and thoughtful gifts. We had a great time! Here is a cute picture of my mom, me and Paula at the shower.

Nursery Project #2

OK, so we can't take any credit for this one, as we hired our painter to do all the work. The walls are such a light blue, we thought painting the ceiling a darker blue would really cozy up Brady's room. It turned out perfect, the pictures don't do it justice. His room is really coming together and it has been so much fun adding the little touches.

The furniture has arrived!

It is finally here and it looks so good! We are still waiting on our glider, but the crib, changing table and dresser are all in place. It looks so cute in the room and now we just need to add all the little extra decorations to make it his. Griffin doesn't quite know what to think of this new room we are spending so much time in. I think he is wondering who is coming to visit. :)

7 Months!

Look how much we've grown! I look back on my 5 and 6 month pictures, at my non-existent bump and laugh. I thought I was really showing, but now there is NO doubt I am pregnant! I have suddenly really "popped out". I would say more like "blown up". Popped out is what the polite people say.
I had my 7 month appointment this week and I have gained 9 lbs since my last visit! My doctor kind of laughed and said, that was a good growth spurt! She said as long as I don't have that large of a jump before my next appointment, I should be ok. She likes her patients to stay around 30 lbs total and so far I am a 21lbs. The doctor said weight gain typically levels off in month 8 and 9 because there is just not as much room in there to put a big meal. I have already noticed that and have had to cut my meals almost in half because I get so full, so fast. I still have room for my ice cream though. Maybe I should get frozen yogurt next time. :) At this appointment I had to test for gestational diabeties and anemia. Both test came back fine so that was good.
My belly button is almost completely flat. Not sure if it will pop out, only time will tell.
I know I say this every time, but I cannot tell you how fun it is to feel him moving around in my belly. It is almost constant now and he rolls and kicks and gets a little case of the hiccups now and then. Not only is it the moving I can feel, but the moving I can see, that is the most fun. My belly hardly stops moving. It is just amazing.

Decision 2007!

OK, this is a big decision and I am still torn between my two favorites. I've narrowed down from a list of 5 and have had a lot of great advice, but I am still undecided on these two. Both are wipeable, (which I hear is important)...both are large, with many compartments, changing mat, etc...and both are cute enough to carry around looking semi stylish. The one on the left doesn't have a bow which is probably better when Colby has to carry the bag, but the little bow is so cute, he may just have to live with it. I will keep everyone posted on this VERY important decision. :)

Nursery Project #1

Who knew crown molding could be so much fun?! Colby and his step-dad, Ben, spent Sunday afternoon putting up crown molding in Brady's room. Of course, the walls and ceiling were uneven, which made it more difficult, but they did a great job and it is such a huge improvement to the nursery. Here are some pictures of the guys in action.
